A Note from Our Founder
The basic idea for Kindros emerged from my experience as a first-generation college student and subsequent journey through my professional career. But it’s my family background that truly shaped my thinking on the need to develop a trusted source of financial knowledge.
Thankfully both my parents, Bill and Cecily, developed a strong commitment to making good financial choices, living below their means, and saving for the future. Their habits and life lessons combined with my educational and professional experience led me to develop Kindros, an unbiased knowledge platform for learning about personal finance.
Since we started building Kindros, we’ve incorporated tons of great feedback from hundreds of students, teachers, community leaders, family, friends, and financial experts. As a result of everyone’s input, Kindros is a much better platform. We intend to continue to enhance Kindros based directly on the ideas generated by the Kindros community. Thank you all!
The name Kindros is a combination of the word “kindred” (a group of related individuals…like a family) and the word “logos” (the Greek word for logic or reason).
Kindros is also a community of people helping people, because we are all in this human race together.
